On and off for 15 years I have built a relationship with a local farm, whilst it has been in transition to regenerative farming, to use a catch-all phrase, embracing permaculture, no til, biodiversity and farm diversification. It is wonderful to see, and for a small farm, with very tight margins, it is also difficult to navigate whilst remaining profitable and viable as a working farm. I have brought horticulture into the mix, a biodiverse permaculture garden which we are now trying to raise funds to turn the garden into a horticulture hub with a community orientation. The farm eet up a CIC, a non-profit arm, and we are part of that, with education, social inclusion as goals as well as food production. We need help to reach our target, if we can make 30% of the goal, the County Council will top up the fund to 100%, so every penny goes a long way.
