Skretting’s Impact Report 2023 wins ESG Transparency Award

Visitas: 1

Global company Skretting received some days ago the ESG Transparency Award at a ceremony in Bonn, Germany, which took place in conjunction with European Sustainability Week. Their work on its Impact Report 2023 has gained recognition within the “Excellence Class” in the ESG Transparency Award.

The evaluation standard was based on regulatory requirements, as well as additional parameters which include Transparency, Environmental, Social, Governance, and Compliance. “We have worked hard to position ourselves as a transparent company within our industry, and it makes us proud to see that this is acknowledged by independent parties,” said Job van Mil, Sustainability Specialist at Skretting Global.

In 2024, the best corporations, large and medium-sized companies in over 15 sectors from European countries has been recognized. All organizations that offer goods and/or services in Europe and already publish a sustainability report could participate free of charge.

Sustainability and business

EUPD Research has developed the ESG Transparency Award to give due credit to organizations who have started to embed sustainability into their ways of working, while also communicating them transparently through sustainability reports.

Sustainability is gaining increasing importance in the way companies do business today, which is why more and more medium and large-sized European corporations are making it mandatory. “Recognizing the importance of transparent sustainability reporting – and putting it into practice – places us in the ‘Excellence Class”, assured from Skretting.

New directive

The topic of sustainability is becoming increasingly important for the economy. How can production be resource-efficient? How socially responsible is a company? And what about climate-damaging activities and the protection of human rights? These and other questions are at the center of public debate and highly relevant for stakeholders and investors as well.

With the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) coming into force in the European Union (UE), sustainability is becoming mandatory for more and more European corporations and medium-sized organizations. The ESG Transparency Award recognizes the transparency of ESG reports and their underlying sustainability goals and measures.

The award honors European organizations that have already anchored forward-looking sustainability concepts in their company and communicate these transparently in the form of a sustainability report. These pioneers serve as role models because they change the world and prove that profitability and sustainability are not opposites, but successful strategies for a future worth living.

20 years of experience

Based on over 20 years of experience in research and analysis, legal frameworks, applicable regulations, existing frameworks, global standards and best practices, EUPD Research has developed a set of criteria for the scientific evaluation of ESG reports. The ESG Transparency Evaluation Standard takes into account all relevant aspects in the areas of environmental, social and governance.

According to the new EU “Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive” (CSRD), sustainability reports must be integrated into a company’s annual report and meet the requirements of the “European Sustainability Reporting Standards” (ESRS), including EU taxonomy information, in the future.

The audit criteria take into account all relevant aspects in areas E, S and G and are based on current regulations, global standards, frameworks and additional transparency parameters of the stakeholder groups involved.

Working from 2000

The EUPD Group has been developing innovative, integrated solutions for sustainability-oriented companies since its foundation in 2000. The company supports companies with data-based market research and consulting services in the areas of energy, social and ESG.

On the one hand, they specialize in technology markets such as photovoltaics, energy storage, heat pumps and electromobility under the topic of “Energy. In the Social” area, they offer services in areas such as occupational health management and equal opportunities, while “ESG” focuses on corporate sustainability and responsibility issues, including transparency in reporting.
