Termites on property?

I am looking into buying a property with the intent to plant an orchard. However the place that fits most of my wants, has termites being treated off the back corner of the house. I know that young fruit trees would be at risk for these pests. Does anyone have advice? Would it be better to skip this property? Or are regular termite treatments effective enough to not worry about this issue?

Edit: property in Northern California.

Wishes for a Happy New Year…

These photos date back to December 31st of 2023, New Years Eve a year ago. I don’t normally keep photos on my phone for long, but somehow these have been hanging out and waiting to be used for over a year now. Their quiet beauty reminds me of the day, how optimistic I was feeling then.

The last sunset of that year…

So many thoughts, hopes, fears. Of course I didn’t know it then, but the year ahead (2024) turned out to be a pretty good one for me. Although it must be noted that two weeks after I took these photos we were hit with a winter storm remarkable for its garden destruction. I’ve been holding my breath this year, fearful of a repeat.

Oh 2025, what have you got in store for us? It all feels so precarious.
